Happy Skin x Disney Princess Moisturizing Matte Lippie in Snow White [Photos + Review]

Hello gorgeous and welcome to another makeup review! For today, I will share my fondness on the Happy Skin x Disney Princess Moisturizing Matte Lippie in Snow White, well that's a mouthful! I got this as a present last Christmas, thanks to you my dear sister-in-law. If not because of you, I will never have my first ever Happy Skin baby! :)

I have heard this local brand when it was introduced three years ago and became one of the most promising makeup brands in the Philippines. They surely have caught everyone's heart with their super cute packaging and witty names such as Eye Am Here to Stay and Feeling Sculptacular. For the past years, they have also made collaborations with known brands and personalities like Beauty Bar and Queen of all Media, Kris Aquino, to name a few.

Look at that packaging, it's so dreamy! How I wish I can have all from the collectionEach lipstick sells for P699 ($16). You can also purchase by set (for 2) for P1,299 ($29).

This lipstick claims to have a trendy matte texture, the pigment of a lipstick and the hydration of a balm. It's an all in one product! What more can you ask for?

It has powerful Cupuacu butter from the rain forest offers unrivaled hydration.

It has a soft and creamy texture that glides smoothly on the lips. And yes, it is highly pigmented and opaque in just one swipe. This red shade may look intimidating but to my surprise, it's very easy to work with. Because of its pointed tip, I was able to line my lips easily. Clean out the edges using a concealer to make your lips stand out even more. Now you got the perfect red lips like Snow White!

I have worn this on many occasions and so far, I'm loving it. It feels lightweight and very moisturizing on the lips. However, some of it, particularly on your inner lips, may fade when you eat or drink which I find pretty normal to most lipsticks I have tried. Downsides are it transfers (because of the formula) and there is minor bleeding on the outer lips after long hours of wearing. Good thing is, you can avoid it by using a red lip liner prior the application. And for the transfer issue, pat your lips with a tissue paper to absorb the excess oil and to create a fully matte finish.

My Rating
Packaging 5/5
Price 4/5
Performance 4/5
Over All 4/5
