Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous Foundation and TruBlend Pressed Powder Review

As promised, here’s my take on Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous Foundation and TruBlend Pressed Powder.

Bought these two at Landmark Trinoma from our last mall visit in the SALE price for 200php OFF. CoverGirl Outlast Stay Fabulous retails for 795php and TruBlend Mineral for 495php.

After using these for a couple of weeks straight from Mondays thru Fridays and sometimes on Sundays, here’s my review:

Packaging. The foundation has 30mL (1 FL OZ) of product in a pump glass bottle which I like. In amidst of Revlon Colorstay, it was always a mess as it has no pump and you have to estimate the amount of product you will use. In CG, 1 pump is enough to cover my entire face. Another half pump if I have blemishes that need extra coverage. On the other side, the pump part is touching the cap when you close so there is a tendency the product will stain the cap (see photo below). So if you do not like to get a mess, better to wipe the pump first before closing it with the cap.

Shade and Coverage. The shade is a bit darker than my skin tone but with the help of the TruBlend Pressed Powder, it toned it down and looks fine after. Actually this was already discussed by the SA that’s why she recommended the translucent light shade in TruBlend. Two thumbs up for Miss SA.  🙂

Swatches

As per the coverage, as it promised, it gives you full coverage yet it feels lighter compared to my Revlon Colorstay.

And I as I have mentioned above, 1 pump can cover my entire face and the other half pump is just an option. Did I say that this foundation is sunblock, concealer and foundation in ONE?

Staying Power. Given my super oily skin, I was oil-free for about 4 hours and beyond that, I looked like a grease ball lols. But hey, my brow powder and blush of the day was still intact so it’s a good thing. There are also areas where the product built up like at the side of my nose and under-eye area. When I blot, some of the product transferred to the blotting paper. I just use the TruBlend Pressed Powder to retouch and I looked fresh again. TIP: You may want to use face primer first to make it last longer and keep your oil at bay longer.

Will I repurchase these? Of course! With all the things I have enlisted, this is definitely a staple for my make up collection. CG Outlast Stay Fabulous and TruBlend Pressed Powder works very well as a tandem. If you are looking for an everyday full coverage foundation with SPF and easy to blend, these are perfect for you. And most importantly, I DID NOT BREAK OUT on this. I repeat, I did not break out! Wohooo!

Well, I guess I have to bid farewell to my all-time favorite Revlon Colorstay for now hehehe.

So have you tried this one? Did you like it?
What’s your current favorite liquid foundation as of the moment?
Let me hear your thoughts. 🙂

Much Love,

  1. Ooohhh not bad. Pero four hours lang :. I'm looking for good foundations for my oily sister. She already has a holy grail but it's not bad to have options 🙂 Thanks for the review!

  2. You are welcome. 🙂

My oily skin is so stubborn talaga kahit anong primer gamitin ko, I guess haven't found my HG primer yet. But definitely this foundation is really good great alternative to Revlon Colorstay.
